PLANETFOOTBALL360 NEWS UPDATE!!!

ARSENAL ALMOST PULL OFF A GREAT ESCAPE...

arsenal inter milanArsenal almost staged one of the great comebacks in the history of the Champions League when they overcame AC Milan 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Four down from the first leg at San Siro, Arsenal were three goals up by half time but could not force the fourth goal that would have taken the match into extra time. No team since Borussia Monchengladbach against Real Madrid in 1985 had overturned a four-goal deficit but Arsenal made the perfect start when Laurent Koscielny headed home a cross from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Tomas Rosicky made it 2-0 after 26 minutes and when Robin van Persie drove home a penalty just before the interval, Arsenal seemed favourites to go through. However, once Christian Abbiati had saved brilliantly from Van Persie on the hour mark, Milan recovered their poise and saw out the game.
