Manchester United has reached an agreement with Arsenal for the transfer of Robin van Persie. The Dutch striker left Arsenal to join the Red Devils. An announcement that will shake the world of football!

Financially, the transaction appears to be very profitable for a player aged 29 who was acquired in 2004 for € 4.5 million from Feyenoord who only had a one year contract. In sporting terms, the loss is enormous and could undermine the strategy the London club had in the transfer market.  With Arsenal unable to stop the departure of Van Persie, the pill may be hard to swallow for fans that have already seen major players like Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Cesc Fabregas leaving.
