INTER READY TO FIGHT UNITED FOR SANCHEZ
Internazionale have said they are ready to fight Manchester United and Manchester City to bring Alexis Sanchez to San Siro.
Udinese’s Chilean winger is expected to leave the Stadio Fruilii after helping the club into fourth place in Serie A. Manchester United are slight favourites to sign the 22-year-old, with the club’s president, Adriano Fedele, saying he would recommend a move to Old Trafford.
Nevertheless, although Manchester City might offer Sanchez a better contract, Inter’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, said Inter would be trying hard to reach an agreement with him.
“We are trying very hard to get Alexis Sanchez but Udinese are putting a very high price on him,” Ausilio said. “But we like him very much and we are very keen to make him part of our future.”
Udinese are reported to want €30m for Sanchez, a price that both Manchester sides could afford but which might test Inter’s financial reserves. After confirming that Leonardo will coach the club for a second season, Inter have indicated they will spend heavily in the transfer market this summer.
