PLANET FOOTBALL 360 NEWS UPDATE.....

NEW SPORTING COACH WARNS PORTO

New Sporting Lisbon coach Domingos Paciencia has warned Porto not to expect to have everything their own way next season in Portugal.
Porto completed the treble of Liga Sagres, Portuguese Cup and Europa League last season, with the Liga trophy being won without losing a game.

But former Porto star Paciencia said at his unveiling as the new Sporting coach on a two-year contract: "I'm here to win. We are going to fight for first place. I believe that we can do better that last season, which is why I am here.”

Sporting finished third in the Liga, but they have not won a trophy since 2008 and have not topped the Liga for nine years.

Meanwhile, Porto president Pinta da Costa is sure that his highly successful coach, Andre Villas-Boas, would turn down Chelsea if the English club paid for his release to replace the sacked Carlo Ancelotti.

He told Portuguese broadcaster PTP: "I do not expect Villas-Boas to leave. There is a release clause of 15million euros, but I am totally convinced that even if any club came in with the offer, he would reject it. Villas-Boas is very committed to Porto.”
