JUVENTUS SIGN BORIELLO BUT PATO MAY STAY IN MILAN ...
Juventus have taken the Roma striker, Marco Boriello, on loan for the rest of the season and will be given an option to buy him in June for a fee of €7.5m. The 29-year-old Italian international had been a target for both Paris St Germain and Marseille but preferred to remain in Italy. Roma have indicated they are willing to allow their Chilean midfielder, David Pizarro, go to Juventus on similar terms. Boriello’s arrival means that Juventus are now keen to get rid of two strikers, Luca Toni and Vicenzo Iaquinta, who have been deemed surplus to requirements. If Paris St Germain were disappointed by their failure to attract Boriello, they suffered another surprise when another of their transfer targets, Alexandre Pato, said he was prepared to remain at AC Milan and try to repair his differences with manager, Massimiliano Allegri.
