| TEVEZ DELAYS ‘WILL COST MANCHESTER CITY £20M’ |
Manchester City made a huge mistake by not letting Carlos Tevez return to Brazil to play with Corinthians, the club’s president said.Roberto de Andrade argued that City’s unwillingness to allow the striker to join the club in August will have cost it £20m.
Corinthians, where Tevez played before he moved to England, had offered double that but City refused only to see the Argentine destroy his career by refusing to come on as a substitute at Bayern Munich two months later. Tevez’s likeliest destination is Milan, where both clubs will bid around £20m.
A delegation from Internazionale is due to meet City’s representatives in Manchester while AC Milan are preparing their own bid but need Alexandre Pato to complete a move to Paris St Germain before they can fund any transfer.
