RONALDO WANTS TO BE WORLD’S BEST PAID PLAYER...
Cristiano Ronaldo has begun negotiations with Real Madrid that could see him become the highest-paid player in world football. Ronaldo’s current deal at the Bernabeu is not due to expire until 2015 but his agent, Jorge Mendes, has begun talks that would see it extended for a further three years. Ronaldo is believed to want at least the same salary as Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez – around €13m a year.The Udinese striker, Antonio di Natale has said he is considering retirement from football after the death of his team-mate, Piermario Morosini. The 25-year-old collapsed and died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack while playing for Livorno at Pescara. He had been on loan from Udinese. Di Natale, who is 34, said there was far too much strain put on footballers and he was considering his future.
