Substitute Loic Remy kicked off France’s build-up to Euro 2012 in the best possible fashion in Paris on Friday night with the only goal in Les Bleus’ 1-0 victory over the USA.The Marseille striker seized on Marvin Martin’s high pass in the 72nd minute to score his fourth international goal and stretch France’s unbeaten sequence to 16 matches.
Meanwhile in Kiev, a young Germany side fought back from 3-1 down at half-time to grab a 3-3 draw against Ukraine, Simon Rolfes and Thomas Muller denying the joint Euro 2012 hosts a first win over the Germans.
Poland, the other Euro 2012 hosts, went down 2-0 at home to Italy in Wroclaw, Mario Balotelli undoing them by scoring one goal and making the other for Giampaolo Pazzini.
