Deadly Schalke 04 strikers Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Raul eased the Gelsenkirchen club in the top four of the Bundesliga on Sunday by scoring first and last in a 3-1 home win over bottom club Augsburg.Dutch international Huntelaar joined Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez at the head of the Bundesliga scoring charts with his 13th goal of the season from a cheeky backheel and former Spain forward Raul completed the scoring with a late header.
In Spain, Malaga wasted a chance to draw level with fourth-placed Levante when they conceded two goals in the last two minutes to Carlos Vela and Diego Ifran to lose 3-2 at Real Sociedad.
Earlier, Atletico Madrid recovered from last week’s derby defeat by Real to beat Rayo Vallecano 3-1 at the Vicente Calderon, with Atletico’s Gabi scoring for both teams.
