AC Milan are confident they can complete the loan signing of Carlos Tevez amid competition from Paris St Germain.Despite Manchester City insisting they will only let their controversial striker leave on a permanent deal, Milan believe they can tempt the club into agreeing a loan deal with an option to buy the Argentine next summer.
Big spending Paris St Germain have also made their interest known, although Milan vice president, Adriano Galliani, claims ‘the player would prefer to be at Milan” after agreeing personal terms with the wantaway striker.
Meanwhile, Diego Maradona has backed Tevez to be a success at AC Milan and insists his countryman needs to start playing again.
“If Milan actually sign him they will be big winners. He’s an amazing footballer,” said the Argentinian legend.
